Every innovation connects to a need. Identify and describe the need (problem or challange) underlying your idea. Be specific and try, in detail, to descibe as many aspects of the need as possible.
An in-depth understanding of the need, problem or challenge, including the context and persons involved, is the most solid fundament for any idea or innovation. At the same time it ensure you, that there are customers/users for the innovation, because people want to have their needs covered, their problems solved and their challanges meet. Basicly a need explains why it is interesting to work with an idea.
There is many ways to identify needs, problems or challenges. It's all about being attentive to people and situations, who could inform you off a need, problem og challenge. Use your senses. Observe. What do people do, how, when and why? When do they experience needs, problems or challenges? Ask them about what they really think and feel. Listen carefully.
